Switch

A four-button, battery powered, wall switch and wireless remote control in one. An surprisingly powerful way to control your new You.InControl system.

$99.00

The Switch looks like any other wall switch really, but it has a few tricks up it’s sleeves – not that a switch has sleeves!

It’s another type of remote control for You.InControl systems, this time with four buttons.

Each button has multi-press functionality, which means they each offer six different press combinations. And, each press combination can trigger up to 99 actions. So, a single Switch can can literally trigger almost 2,400 actions, and potentially more once you understand the system. Not that you would do that… just saying.

Using your Controller, you can set the Switch up to do whatever you want. Turn all the outside lights on from any room in the house, turn room lights on, open the garage door, unlock the front door, turn appliances on, turn the irrigation on, turn the outdoor or pool lights on, open motorised windows and so much more. Or, you could do ALL that with a single button press! Whaaaaat? Yep!

Pop it on the table, countertop, mount it on the wall, or put one where ever you want to. The best things is there’s no wires and zero restrictions. Oh, and you can install it too… no need for an electrician. Try to do that with the old and outdated ordinary light switch!

A small device with soooooo much capability.

Coming soon…

You can use your Switch for so many different things.

Here’s a few ideas:

  • Lights. Turn lights on and off. You can even turn lights on for a set time period. One light, two lights or as many as you want… it’s really up to you.
  • Power. You can control You.InControl Relay and Power Devices with the Switch to turn power on and off. Or, to turn it on for a set period of time. You can control lights, fans, pumps, heaters, windows, irrigation, actuators, vents and anything else that’s powered really.
  • Practical jokes. Ever seen someones face when something happens they don’t expect. Kind of priceless. Just make sure you’re not doing anything that will harm to yourself, others, or the environment!
  • Garden irrigation. Turn a tap or irrigation on from inside. Button press… done. What’s better is that you can also set it to turn off after a period of time. No more forgetting that you’ve got the water on! The system will look after you in so many ways.
  • Open your Garage Door. Put a Switch in your garage to control the lights and open the garage door. And, what’s better, you don’t have to get a tradesman to do it for you. But, you can use a tradesman if you want.
  • Greenhouse vents. If you have a greenhouse with a vent and one of our Motor Controllers you can open your greenhouse roof vent. Kind of cool that you can open that vent that you’ve never been able to open before. You can even mount a Switch in the greenhouse and have the buttons right where you want them.
  • Power Motors. Using our Motor Controllers you can control any DC motor up to 13A and 36 volts. If you think about it, that covers off most motors that people use. If it’s an AC motor, use one of the You.InControl power controllers.  What could you do with motor control? Auto gates, linear actuators, mechanical equipment… Just remember safety – this system turns on motors and they can be dangerous!
  • Turn the heater on. You can also use the Switch to turn your heater on and off. Yes, including that tricky hydronic unit.

We hope you’re starting to get the idea that with a few components you can do a lot of what was previously impossible or downright impractical.

Have fun and get creative!

Here are some of the key Switch features:

  • Easy to use. The Switch has four buttons you can use to interact with your system – simple really.
  • Multi-press functionality. Each button has multi-press functionality, which means they each offer six different press combinations. The six combinations are:
    • Short press (S)
    • Short-Short press (SS)
    • Short-Short-Short press (SSS)
    • Long press (L)
    • Short-Long press (SL)
    • Short-Short-Long press (SSL)

So, a seemingly simple Switch can give you TENTY FOUR different press combinations (six combinations per button). And, each of those combinations can trigger up to 99 Actions – Wow! And, no you don’t have to use all of the capabilities… just use what makes sense for your application.

  • Powerful. With the Switch you can do so many things… you can turn lights on and off, turn electricity on and off, control fans, pumps, irrigation, open garage doors or whatever else you dream up. Once you understand the fundamentals, you’ll really be able to unleash the power.
  • Long range Wireless. The Switch is long range wireless. We’ve got well over a kilometre with it, but typical installations will be between a few hundred meters to over a kilometre, depending on where it’s used.
  • Low Power. Everything about the system and the Switch has been optimised for low power consumption. It sleeps most of the time and uses less than 100uA – which is a crazy tiny amount of power. Normal operation allows the Switch to function for close to three months before needing to be recharged. *mic drop* BOOOOM!
  • Rechargeable battery. There’s no replacing and throwing out batteries with this little beauty. Just plug it in and charge it up again using any MicroUSB plug. It’s good for you and good for the environment.
  • Ready in an instant. When you press a button the Switch wakes in a flash. It never misses a press… and then goes back to sleep again to dream of what you’ll think up next.
  • 3D Printed. The Remote, like many of our devices are 3D printed. This keeps initial costs down and brings manufacturing back to AUSTRALIA. It also allows us to create custom printed enclosures. 3D printing the devices also also allows us to share the 3D printing files so you can print your own enclosures and colours. Cool!
